Red Freedom

The collection "Red Freedom" was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of democracy in Portugal. The pieces are made from bullet cartridges, transformed into carnations, symbolizing the change from an icon of violence to a symbol of peace.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a metal installation, shaped like a diamond, with cartridge carnations on top. This work represents freedom as our most valuable treasure and pays tribute to those who fought for our freedom.

Tania Gil .portugal

Tânia was born in Lisbon in 1981 and grew up in Porto Covo, a small village on the picturesque Alentejo coast of Portugal. After completing her degree in Industrial Design at IADE (1999-2003), she set out in pursuit of her childhood dream and enrolled at the Contacto Directo jewelry school (2004-2009), where she discovered the vast and dazzling universe of this field. She created her own brand "Tania Gil Jewelry" and currently divides her time between Lisbon and the Alentejo Coast, where she finds peace and inspiration for her creations. Her travels around the world are also a source of inspiration, exploring new cultures, colors, and aromas. She loses herself in time while observing, photographing, and collecting elements of nature, her main source of inspiration for her 'jewels' or 'wearable objects', as she prefers to call them. She loves to explore various materials and techniques and work in the community, raising awareness of important issues through her work - jewelry, sculptures, or installations.
